We receive a budget and brief from you, the client. Taking into consideration such things as the geographic areas that will be covered, number of stores that will be targeted and number of days required we devise a cost effective solution for your campaign. Our service can include the booking of venues, the provision of promotional material, feedback questionnaires, level of promoter used, training of promoters, preparation of training material and level of supervision.

Preparation and Training

You provide us with product information and other general information that the promoter will need. We prepare the promoter training manual and briefing notes. Next we train the promoter, making sure that they understood what is expected of them and have a thorough knowledge of the product(s) on promotion. Feedback questionnaires are also developed and the promoters are trained to use them. In addition, all promoters receive extensive training in sales and promotional etiquette.

Storage

Your precious activation material can be stored in our warehouse. We store POS material, branded clothing, product stock and food preparation tools. Extensive freezer space is also available for frozen food samples.

Brand Activation

Depending on the nature of the promotion, the promoters receive their promotional material before the first day of their promotion. On the day, they arrive at their assigned venue ahead of time to set up. The product is promoted in accord with the training and guidelines provided. Feedback from customers is noted. If required, relevant information regarding competitors is also noted.

In certain instances the promoters are given a daily sales target. The extent to which the target is met or exceeded assists with measuring the success of the campaign.

Supervisors visit the brand activation site to confirm promoter’s presence, check the promoter’s level of product knowledge, resolve on-site issues, and take photos for visual feedback. Mystery shoppers also provide valuable feedback.

Taste is king. Allowing consumers to taste and trial food products leads to increased sales and market penetration, growing your market share.

We have mature male and female promoters who have experience preparing and cooking food samples. They are trained to engage with the consumers, encouraging them to try the food, answering questions and offering advice. We will use your recipe ideas or provide our own.

The sampling mechanic

Promoters cook the food samples in an electric frying pan which has been lined with foil sheets, using the recipes provided and rehearsed. Other equipment can be used, if you require a different method of preparation.

In most cases food samples are prepared fresh on the day of the activation. The product is served in a sampling cup with a sampling fork or spoon, or with a toothpick and serviette. Promoters are trained to drive the sales of your products in store, directing consumers to the product on the store’s shelves.

Promoters can also be trained to direct consumers to your social media and web sites.

Our feedback reports are tailored to meet the needs of our customers and the activation event or campaign. Weekly reports include information from promoter feedback questionnaires, supervisor feedback and promoter ratings, and visual feedback from photographs. We analyzed and consolidate these reports to provide an overall campaign report when the activation has concluded.

We also provide feedback on any Red Flag issues that are revealed during the activation.
